These sugar maple burl bowls are cut and shaped into bowls and burried within the ground for up to a year where the qualities of the ground and maple work together to provide the one of a kind shape each bowl acquires. Once removed from the earth, the bowl’s texture is finalized and natural oils are applied to keep them looking great for years to come. The team only produces 500 each year and we showcase 1% of their collection.
Burls are most often used as centerpieces allowing their sculptural form to become a focal point in any room. They can act as vessels by holding dry foods, decorations, jewelry, and more.
